Ajit Pai loves ''freedom''

Apparently they think we were all born yesterday.  I know this may be kind of an extreme example, but it's the same underlying concept.  Whenever the elites who control the government try to create or maintain some fucked-up institution, they always try to package it as an effort to defend American values, to frame it as being about freedom.  It's the same concept as when the South wanted to keep their slaves because, you know, states' rights.  The reality in both cases is that no, this has absolutely nothing to do with defending freedom and everything to do with protecting rich business owners' ability to make as much money as humanly possible at everyone else's expense.  In both cases, yes, you are increasing the freedom of a handful of business owners, but you're doing that by taking a much more vital freedom away from a much larger group of people.

Also, I just love how that stupid, snarky grin on Ajit Pai's face sums up his attitude better than words ever could.
